New Online Course: A Coordinated Community Response to Sexual Assault (TCOLE & Nationwide)
This is an OSS Academy® Child Abuse Investigations online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
to successfully prosecute perpetrators of child abuse, it is critical
that law enforcement officers and prosecutors have a basic awareness of
child neglect and abuse. This course is an overview of child abuse and
neglect definitions, current statistics, possible courses, and some
basic investigation techniques. Successful completion of this course
will aid officers in recognizing signs of child abuse and neglect, and
to perform the task necessary, when appropriate, to formulate an
effective case that meets the probable cause elements.
note, the entire course, final
exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive
one (1) hour of course credit.
