TCOLE Basic Peace (Police) Officer Examination & Reactivation Test Preparation
This is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) elective Bomb Threat Response course offered for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
Bomb threats and bombings have become a reality in today's world. The dilemma for law enforcement agencies is that they seldom know who is calling in the threat, or indeed if the threat is valid. Is it a student calling a threat into a school because he wasn't prepared to take a test that day, or a student calling in a threat because they are a sociopath and frustrated and they actually want to destroy the school, or worse, injure other students? Is it someone calling in a bomb threat because they think it will be a fun prank, or is it someone who actually intends to halt the operations of a place of business or an organization, or even injure innocent people?
note, the entire course, final
exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive
one (1) hour of course credit.
