Overview
This is the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) elective Legal Issues for County Corrections #3506 online training course offered for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

This course provides you with a basic understanding of the legal aspects of corrections work in the jails and how your work fits within the legal system. This course emphasizes issues that can arise out of Use of Force incidents, searches, and classifications of inmates.

We also provide a major section on communication skills for corrections officers. These skills are useful not only within the jail system but can be applied across any line of work and daily life. 

Please note, the entire course, final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive 24 hours of course credit.

TCOLE Reporting
