Overview

This is an OSS Academy® Sexual Offender Investigations online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

There are few other crimes that can be as troublesome to the general public, and even seasoned law enforcement officers, as sexual offenses against children or adults. This course provides definitions, examples of crime statistics, the levels of sexual offenders, sexual dysfunctions, and psychological profiling relative to specific crime characteristics. In addition, we discuss some of the legislation designed to aid law enforcement in the detection and management of sexual offenders.

Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit.
