Overview
This is an OSS Academy® Civil Disturbance & Riot Control Package online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

The goal of any law enforcement agency faced with a lawful demonstration is to apply the appropriate level of direction and control, with the mutually supporting objectives of protecting life, property, and critical infrastructure, and maintaining public peace and order, while upholding the participants' constitutional rights of free speech and assembly. The purpose of this course is to learn how to apply that process. 

This course was created to provide peace officers with an understanding of some of the types of crimes they will encounter in their communities as well as the process for their investigation. Our academy staff is especially grateful to the law enforcement and corrections professionals that contributed to the development of this important course.

Please note, the entire course, final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive eight (8) hours of course credit.
